Time Is An Investment.
As a child I only had two wishes:
1. To become an actress(life is bollywood!),
2. To have lots and lots of Barbie Dolls
I don't take think there's anything to talk about the first wish. But the second one really surprised me.
I wasn't a very stubborn kid, but of course, whenever I would ask for something;my parents always got it. They didn't really say no.
So, I had a lot of dolls. I had a different bag to store their dresses, combs and plastic mirrors and a different bag to store them and their baby dolls. I would play with them daily. Take care of them. Sometimes even wash their blonde fake hair.
Then I grew up. I didn't want dolls anymore.
So I gave all those dolls to my baby cousin sister. I never played with them again.
Why the hell did I waste your five precious minutes in reading this sad doll story? I'll let you know.
By this story, I withdrew a common, but at the same time a very unknown fact that time is an investment. After taking so much care of those dolls, I finally gave it to my sister. All that time I invested was finally a waste.Yes, I had fun dressing them up and playing with them but all that doesn't even matter to me now. That doesn't matter to me in the long term.
Yo, like nobody is gonna come up to me and be like,"Hey, how many dresses did your Barbie change in a day?" or "How many of them did you own?"
It doesn't even matter.Okay, let's talk about something more relatable. You have a test tomorrow. But you also wanna go out with your friends. Mmm .You could make either of the two choices:
- You go out,
- you don't go out and study.
So you go out, have the time of your lives, eat pasta and click photos. And now it's dark, you get home. Change your clothes. And still have two choices to make:
2.1 Sacrifice on your sleep and study and get marks tomorrow
2.2 Say "Let's just see what happens tomorrow." and sleep (deja vu, much?)
Even if you make the 2.1 choice, you aren't really able to study that well but you just study important topics and get decent marks. Okay.Cool.
Okay but:
Warning:Making choice 2.2 harms your scores, may end up in you cheating, and also you may curse your friends, yourself and your decisions.Congratulations.
On a serious note, while making decisions you should think of short-term and long-term effects of it. It's not that all decisions should be really serious, you should also relax and have fun. But learn to balance them out. If you go out and have a test tomorrow, make sure you come back and study, or get up early and study. You should never waste your time in things that won't matter to you after a certain time.
You shouldn't give so much in a relationship, that you'll end up regretting that you wasted time. Keep a balance.
"Balance is as important as Young Matt LeBlanc. Note that down."You shouldn't be wasting your time. It's so precious.
Do you know why people try to invest whenever they earn big bucks? They can easily spend it on food, movies, travelling and shopping for their loves ones and themselves. Because that is short-term happiness. They prefer investing. Which is most probably long-term.Something like property and funds and shares and etc.Which gives more and has zero chances of loss and risk.
Here if you compare time and money, you get a better understanding of what I am trying to say.
So, now we get to know that:
- Time=Investment,also =Money
- Time is precious, and so is money.
Now you know why they say Time Is Money. Your Welcome;)
