New Year's Resolutions?
Hi, it's Saniya with another dope thought now. I am literally sorry as I couldn't post since a month or more than that maybe.I have my exams. And so I took out time to think. And here you have it!
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's the new year, 2019!Another 52 weeks, 365 days of highs and lows. As a trend , we have something known as "New Year Resolutions" which is like a firm promise to yourself for the new year. Very common examples are like:losing weight, eating healthy, rising early etc etc.New year resolutions are great and they help you be determined to your goal, but there's one problem, which is that these resolution are not REALISTIC.
By which I mean that people promise themselves various things but as these are way too much, most people fail to keep up with these.
I'll give you my example:
Three years back when we entered 2016, my new year resolution (don't laugh please) was to stop eating tomato ketchup with everything I consume. Something as stupid as not eating ketchup!I'll tell you the story behind it. Since, I was a child I loved ketchup. I had a habit of adding it to every dish I eat, from paranthas to aloo ki sabzi. I would not eat my food without ketchup. My house would never run out of it.
So in 2016, for 3 months I didn't even taste ketchup. Strictly no consumption. And one fine day, we order pizza and voila! I failed.
So what am I trying to say? Instead of promising myself to stop the consumption, what if I had promised my self to lower the consumption or to eat it just once in a week or so?I could have succeeded brilliantly.
So let your resolutions be realistic.
If you wanna start eating healthy, eat salad once in two days and gradually, make yourself strict. This way you're determined for a longer period ofo time, your body accepts the change easily and by the end you achieve.
Well, what's the logic, Saniya? It's easy and simple, if a person who has never exercised even in their dreams , is obviously not expected to work out daily.
Now after this, you must be like hey, 4 days have already went, you could've added this earlier. Well it's never ever too late. Start tomorrow. It's never late to show your best version to the world.

"There's already pressure, don't add more to your life"If you're the kind of person who wakes up at 12 in the afternoon. Please don't let your resolution be waking up at 6 in the morning. Instead get up at 11 for a week, then at 10'o clock for a month and slowly your body will be equipped to the change and you'll become an early riser.
