Today's Lesson: Don't give up.

The last three days have taught me how not to give up. And seriously it has been a roller coaster.

Day 1  (4th October 2018)
I was at school. At the computer lab with a bunch of friends around me .This friend say Kumar approaches me and says,
"Saniya, what should I add in a short film on the topic : Everyone is not racist?"

Kumar has always been one of the guys who knew photo shop, graphic designing and all the artsy tech stuff. Also, he shoots movies.

"Everyone is not racist..I can't really say anything. For what by the way?,"said I.
He told me about a movie making competition and also that he couldn't write a script. He told me about the various themes. I liked one of them. Fear of Death. It instantly struck a script in my mind. Honestly, I love writing, anything and writing a script was sought of like a dream. Which was now real.
"Hey, what if I write a script for the competition," I said.
"Yes , obviously if you can," Kumar said. After a short discussion about the plot, characters and the competition details. He told me to write the script on the same evening and mail him at night.
                            "OH MY GOD"

That is not even 24 hours. But maybe not saying no was not in the options.
Kumar trusted me. Let's just don't give up.

So I went home , ate lunch, checked my phone and at around 4'o clock I started to write the script.
After 3 hours of intense thought, typing and straining of eyes, finally I wrote the script. You know what the script is ? It's the soul of a movie. Dialogues, characters, story and plot. A very important part honestly. I was very nervous if he would like the script.  Yay! He loved it.
So tomorrow must be shoot day! Let's make this a reality!

Day 2 (5th October 2018)

Finally, at school we start with the shoot. Let's do this. Honestly I never thought I would ever write a script for a movie.

Kumar, his friend, one of the actors in the film and me, explained the script and thought of scenes, acting and a lot of stuff.
Then I saw the camera we were going to use for shooting. Um. Maybe there was a problem. It was really small:/
But anyway we checked the resolution of the camera, when we satisfied ourselves with everything. We started the shooting. First the entry scenes. But let me tell you, it was not easy we also requested for a permission by the principal which in itself is a damn task, bro.

"This is impossible."

After almost an hour of shooting and dialogues, Kumar was called at the principal's office.
When he returned back, to our very surprise we could not shoot anymore. Why? Because we were missing classes. Like oh dear principal, it's Friday and we're supposed to submit the movie on Monday. Do you think this is a joke?

Anyway, after lunch break we shot again. After almost completing half of the movie. We went back home.
Oof, I reached back home with a sigh,
and figured if my life is a lie
But I had no time to be sly
and to question and why?
Around evening, when I was rereading the script. I got a call from Kumar.
 Oh no!
He told me that we had to re-shoot. Everything. Why? The quality was shitty,my friend. I lost hope, I just couldn't focus. Can you imagine re-shooting everything in a haste, you did yesterday with such a fire in your heart? I couldn't but now I really had to.
"Tomorrow is just another chance."
Day 3 (6th October)

It was another Saturday, but this one was special, we had the Parent-Teacher Meeting, sis. It was that time of the year when our teachers give our report cards to our parents. Our brown parents are never satisfied.Honestly.

So first we were supposed to reach the school at 7 in the morning.  But I did at 7:30, because  I have brown parents.
As I reached, I saw Kumar alone with the camera and tripod.
"Hey,Kumar! Where are the others?," I said.
"Do you think they've reached?,"
As I heard these words,I totally understood that Kumar was annoyed, because no one was serious. I'll just revise everybody's attitude towards this movie:
i)The actor who was playing protagonist was not even doing it well. She took a lot of time to get ready, and honestly she was the main reason our mood was being spoiled . She was not concentrating and I can rant a lot now.
ii)Kumar's friend , who was one of the side character in the story, didn't even reach by that time.
iii)One of our friends and side characters did not reach the school. At the last moment we had to change the script.
Ugh, what was happening! This definitely is my worst day on earth. We have no movie and the submission is on Monday.
Kumar was really demotivated and annoyed during the whole shoot, but also he cracked amazing jokes the whole time.😂
I was astonished by the attitude of the protagonist. I can actually rant a lot right now.
The movie was done finally, and we were very happy! Especially me, my writing was now a reality.
But I also had the PTM, Parent-Teacher Meeting, what about that?  My teacher was really happy after my progress  academically , and in the end she told me one very important thing,
"Don't give up"
